The Ryumon Shogun Katana has a hand forged and folded AISI 1060 carbon steel blade meticulously crafted for a damascus look. The saya is of palisander, a type of rosewood. The blackened bronze tsuba (guard) and kashira (buttcap) bear the Tokugawa Shogunate kamon (family crest). The habaki (blade collar) is a one piece brass construction letting the blade fit securely in the saya (scabbard). Authentic same (ray skin) wraps the tsuka (handle). Sageo and ito are woven from imported Japanese cotton. Each katana comes with a cotton sword bag.
