| It is a square duck [that's really heavy] canvas bag, filled with sand. Mount on a solid wall or outside on a large tree to use as a makiwara bag. Hanshi Mario Higaonna uses the bag to practice elbow strikes.
Put it on a heavy table to use as an iron palm bag.
You might want to use Dit Da Jow or the like on the knuckles after a heavy work out on the bag.
