| Master Eihachi Ota is a master of Okinawan Matsubyashi-ryu, a form of Shorin-Ryu. He leads The Shorin-Ryu Karate and Kobu-do Association in the United States. He is a direct student of the late Grand Master Shoshin Nagamine, founder of Matsubyashi-ryu. This video shows correct use of the makiwara, conditioning drills, and chi’ishi. The major emphasis is the makiwara. Following these drills will develop the iron hand.
