Pat Crawford is an independent knife maker who designed this knife. He says, "I was impressed by the strength and slashing ability of a reverse-curve Tanto blade, so that was where I started designing the Triumph. It has a different look, not as art, but as an entirely functional shape." The CRKT production Triumph Folder is a large and formidable tactical knife designed for grip, even in wet and muddy conditions. Gripping feature include double finger choils, thumb friction grooves and diagonal CNC-machined deeply grooved G10 scales. The 420J2 stainless steel liners, one locking, are a hefty 0.1" thick. The beefy 0.14" thick, 3.5" long blade is a dual-grind Tanto with a recurve to aid cutting and a false top edge grind for penetrating power. Blade steel is premium AUS 8 stainless steel. The blade is Razor-Sharp. The Triumph Folder features CRKT's OutBurst™ assisted opening mechanism, which instantly springs the blade fully open after you have opened the blade approximately 30 degrees. To maximize safety, CRKT built in their exclusive patented AutoLAWKS™ safety that automatically actuates when the folder is opened and locked, creating a virtual fixed blade instantly. The "K" series has a matte black EDP coated blade with special black and green G10 scales. The black Teflon®-plated stainless clip is removable.
