Stun Guns

We cannot export from the U.S.A. at present because the Federal government requires an export license. This will be explored. The U.S. Dept of Commerce, Bureau of Export Administration issued a ruling effective September 13,2000.

In support of U.S. foreign policy to promote the observance of human rights throughout the world, the Bureau of Export Administration maintains controls on crime control items. This rule expands controls on restraint devices, such as handcuffs, and on discharge type arms, such as stun guns or shock batons.

Stun guns and dogs: Reports are that stun guns and Tasers are often effective against dogs. They will usually at least drive a dog away. Sometimes just turning a stun gun on and off will make a noise that frightens a dog. Multiple hits with a Taser or stun gun may injure or kill the dog, just as is the case with a human. Stun batons and Tasers should be favored over other stun guns.
